Photography is Patrick’s first passion and occupation. Over time, he developed an approach combining spontaneity with obsessive rigour in his compositions, identifiable in about fifteen exhibitions and publications (with Editions de la Martinière, Flammarion and Images en Manoeuvres).
Patrick also wrote various essays and novels, and it was while writing these that his personal realm established and asserted itself: a poetic and baroque world, blending crude realism and fantasy, dark humour and romanticism. It was only natural that he wished to combine the art of storytelling using films and thus winning his first project for Kenzo Parfums.
Evident in his work, Patrick is well travelled and has had the opportunity to work in a wide range of locations including many Asian countries. He embraces the different cultural experiences, which in turn enriches his work offering a taste of what that place has to offer and blends it perfectly with his storytelling skills.
Since starting, he has had more than 20 films released - the most famous ones being Flower by Kenzo and Kenzo Amour. Patrick has also been moving into fiction and wrote and directed Ceremony, a short-film with André Wilms. Two feature films, one in France and the other one in Asia, are currently being developed.
